About

Ayesha Abdullah is a chef in Oakland, CA.  Her passion for cooking has been heavily influenced by her late father, who would cook homemade meals almost every night.  Those meals were the beginnings of her passion for bringing people together.

She worked in a corporate office for a number of years, while hosting dinner and art parties in her free time. As she put more time into building community, she began her culinary education at Laney College in Oakland, CA.

During culinary school, Ayesha sought out internships and worked at restaurants local and out of state. After completing school, she continued her culinary education through her job as a sauté cook and local internships.

Since July 2021 chef Ayesha has started hosting her own pop-up dinner series called ‘Round Midnight.  She also educates people about food through her Instagram platform @Roundmidnightdinner. Chef Ayesha maintains her desire to bring people together and preserve community culture through music, food, and atmosphere.
